Does anyone in Calgary have an Entertainment Book? And if so, would they like to donate their Calgary Zoo coupon to a visitor? I have a Vancouver Entertainment Book and could trade for something if you are coming to Van for the show.

If you go to the zoo, you have to go to Spolumbo's Italian Deli. It is very close to the zoo and very delicious.

I do not have an entertainment coupon, but I have a coupon from a SUTP book that provides admission for 50% off for up to 4 people. We may need a Vancouver coupon, as we head there after the Edmonton Show.
  • Can't help with the coupon, but I can plug the zoo. They have Andean Condors and its badass. :D

Thanks, but I think someone else is sending me their coupon. Is there anything in Van you're wanting to do in particular? I can check if I have a coupon for it, I'd be happy to pass it along!

We will probably just be checking out brewpubs, Gastown, Granville Isle, little water taxi boats, eating out, that kind of stuff. We are kidless that weekend and have seen a lot of the kid friendly Vancouver attractions, so we will avoid those. Although I do love the Vancouver Aquarium.

    You will love the zoo!

My mom owns a toy store on Granville Island, where I worked while I was in school (also went to art school on Granville Island) so I have spent a lot of my life down there. I still love it, but I would recommend making that your first stop of the day. It's much nicer first thing in the morning when it's not so busy. You can go to the public market for breakfast, it opens at about 9:30, I think, and there is excellent coffee, an awesome french bakery, the best donut shop, and about a million other delicious things to eat... most of the stores and other things open at 10am and it starts to get busy not long after that, but there's lots to see and I'm sure you'll find it very enjoyable. It's after Labour Day now, so it probably won't be too crazy.

If you're going to Gastown from there you can take the #50 bus straight there from the entrance to G.I.
