Anyone know anything about plumbing?

I just finished moving into my new apartment.

Bathroom sink works fine and laundry in unit works fine. The kitchen sink and the shower are barely dripping hot water and don't seem to have enough water pressure. The apartment hasn't been occupied since June. Is it possible something is clogged?

***UPDATE

What would I do without the internet?

Landlord came out and told me nothing could be done and that it was normal because the building was old.. The kitchen sink just had mineral deposits in the spray head.

So I took matters into my own hand, looked online, took apart the faucet, adjusted the hot water pressure screw.. some gunk came out and wella, everything was clear.. Works great now.

Stupid landlord.

  • Has the landlord turned the water off? :?

Would definitely give him a call first thing in the morning. You can't go a whole month without a shower ;) :?:lol:

But laundry and bathroom sink work fine. :?
  • Then it definitely sounds like a pressure thing. Of course, I AM NOT A PLUMBER, but that's what it sounds like to me. Good luck with your new apartment. I hope that everything works out for you :D

  • Seriously try de-calcifiying the systems ( get some LCR from your local home improvement store) and if that doesn't help.. then yes call him and have him get someone out to clear the lines..
