Hey all,

I was scrolling through the channels today, and saw that VH1 Classic will be airing a "Storytellers" show with PJ! I'm in Nebraska, and it says it will air at 4pm. Might want to take a look. I never even knew they did a Storytellers.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been looking to DVR that for awhile.

And for those of you that are interested, the Classic Albums episode for Nirvana's Nevermind is on at 1pm Pacific and then an hour of live Nirvana from 1993 concert is on at 2pm.

I used to have the Nirvana Classic Albums DVD. After watching Butch Vig give the breakdowns on how the songs were recorded I went back and listened to Nevermind. It was like listening to it for the first time again.

I just saw this too as I was scrolling channels and was about to post, but you beat me to the punch. :-)

    Enjoy, it's a good show.
    Cheers!

It was a let down to me. I was so excited to see it. Not much story telling going on. I do believe most of us know the story behind "Alive".

Brisk, I remember when you first came on this board and knew absolutely nothing about this band. STFU if you don't have anything constructive to say.

seriously, I can't believe people aren't excited this is on, I came on to post the same thing

don't listen to the naysayers and check it out if you haven't seen it. Mike's guitar playing alone is reason to watch it.

    Check your local listings though,
it's on at 5pm Eastern time

    and it's Vh1 Classic, not regular vh1

It was indeed. I guess I just expected so much more from it because it was an opportunity to shed some light on some meaning behind some of the songs. It felt "rushed" and edited like a MOFO. Don't get me wrong, it was cool to see them play live on TV, but felt the content was kind of weak.

Everyone should still watch it, of course :)

I don't know what some people's problems are, but Pearl Jam on tv is a must see in my book. Personally I thought Storytellers was great.

Agreed. Some of those songs I really didn't know the meaning to. Especially "Gone". I was thinking something totally different. And, it's always nice to see Mike do a solo behind his back!
