I'm suprised Eddie isn't on that list. I thought he was highly thought of by his peers.
Maybe he was 101?
Who really cares...but does this give an indication of how the hall of fame may be farther off than what we all think?"Had my eyes peeled both wide open, and I got a glimpse...of my innocense, got back my inner sence, baby got it...still got it"0 -

"To understand Bob Dylan's impact as a singer, you have to imagine a world without Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Vedder, Kurt Cobain, Lucinda Williams or any other vocalist with a cracked voice, dirt-bowl yelp or bluesy street howl.""He floated back down 'cause he wanted to share,
His key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere" GTF

Rolling Stone jumped the shark long long ago-
They aren't comparing vocal quality, range or delivery.
Perhaps influence at that point in time of whence they were popular and on vocalists that followed them.
But as far as passion, ability to communicate a variety of styles, and audience enjoyment they fall pathetically short with their list.
Bjork?
WTF?You must be the change you want to see in the world
