I just got into work a little while ago and put on the Stern radio show and was stunned to learn of Leroi Moore's passing. I realize that there is a lot of crossover in fan base between Pearl Jam and Dave Matthews Band and am quite sure there's a lot of sad fans out there today.
To Leroi and DMB: You were unique and quite excellent at what you did. I try to see DMB once a year as they are my "other" favorite band, and as a group they put on such an eclectic show that it's hard not to appreciate their live performances.
To fans, family and band members of the Dave Matthews Band, I along with many others on this board express our deepest condolences.

Sad tragedy. People do not realize how dangerous ATVs are.
I didn't realize it until a little while ago, but I saw some of his last shows this past summer in Mansfield. In fact, while I was in Hartford on the 28th for Pearl Jam, Leroi was performing his last show ever at Nissan. Really, really sad.
