Looks like Lucas is making more changes to Star Wars for the blu-ray release, including adding Vader saying "Nooo!" at the end of Jedi before he throws the Emperor in the pit.

When George first started making changes to Star Wars his excuse was that he was making it the way he originally envisioned it and could not at the time due to monetary or technological constraints. But he has long passed that mark and basically makes changes just for the sake of making changes. A lot of the stuff he has added or changed could have just as easily been done when he originally made the films.
This little addition, while not THAT big of a deal, is just another example of something that could have been in the original if George had wanted it to be there, but wasn't, so it is just a gratuitous addition.
It's getting ridiculous how often and how drastically he goes back and alters these films. There is a Wikipedia page that just deals with changes made to the films that is longer than most Wikipedia page for any other film.

Yeah, you're probably right. And from what I've read the "Noooo!" is going to be the soundbite from the end of Revenge Of The Sith when The Emperor tells Vader about Padme dying. So it's even WORSE than it sounds, because that was pretty damn corny, and to put it in THAT scene will be horrible.

I found this picture the other day during a Google search, and posted it in another thread, but it's worth putting up again, because as somebody else said, I can just see George eventually doing this. It's a joke now, but if George saw it, those gears would probably start turning."See a broad to get dat booty yak 'em, leg 'er down, a smack 'em yak 'em!"0 -

I don't like it. The second "No" isn't as bad as the first, but I don't like how the dramatic music was toned down.0 -
Yeah, that's bad. And it does sound like they just reused sound clips from that scene in ROTS. No blu-ray for me."See a broad to get dat booty yak 'em, leg 'er down, a smack 'em yak 'em!"0

Me neither. In fact, I hope the bluray sales are weak because of this crap.Another habit says it's in love with you

Okay, I know why George changed it so that Greedo shot first. He did it in order to make Han look like he was defending himself and less like a murderer. But, why WOULD Greedo shoot Han first? Greedo's a bounty hunter. Wasn't he there to take Solo, alive, to pay Jabba his debt? Why would he kill him? Wouldn't that get him into trouble with Jabba?Post edited by The Waiting Trophy Man onAnother habit says it's in love with you

Not me. I might rent them on iTunes, but I won't buy it. And I'll probably just rent Empire because I want to see cloud city.Another habit says it's in love with you

I just saw Empire tonight on Spike, and it was the first time I saw this particular version. And imagine my horror when Boba Fett started speaking in a New Zealand accent. Now if he had been a Kiwi all along it wouldn't have been so awkward, but having grown up with the guy being voiced by an American for some 30 years, and then all the sudden hearing that Kiwi dude who played Jango Fett doing the voice in Empire almost made me do a spit take."See a broad to get dat booty yak 'em, leg 'er down, a smack 'em yak 'em!"0
