I’d play darkroom
and the sky above me
has turned to sea

it’s still too early
to be happy

we were children in a darkroom
we counted to ten
and no longer
were we innocent

we’re family
to one another
we ain’t strange
we’re like alice
in chains

I fear it’s early
to be happy
what’s deep
is no longer…

good for me
it’s why
the sky has turned to sea
so I may say goodbye and…
still remember me

stronger than me
the bullshit
was poetry
so much so we did
forgetaboutme

baby I never said “it ain’t me”
