my kids first show

my husband and i took our two kids to see the hartford show
we ended up in row 9 i couldnt ask for better for the first show for them
they had such a great time i think they will become concert addicts like us
they had more fun going to the show than any amusement park we have been to and any ball game (words came right from them)
hopefully the people who sat right behind us will get a chance to read this id like to thank them again for being cool with me putting my youngest son on my shoulders to take pictures and also id like to thank anyone who approached us to show the kids some attention they felt famous for a day with all the response they got
i have to add this its too cute not to
when i woke up this morning the kids were so thankful about the trip they wrote notes to us on the sidewalk in chalk " i love you mom and dad you rock"
do not put up more than you are willing to lose

That was the same for us at MSG2. Waited for PJ to be her first concert and she LOVED it! She got to help at the fundraiser, had Ed point her out because of her sign and hang out with all of us until 3:00 AM. A very long day for a 7 year old, but she hung in like a trooper and had a BLAST! Afterwards, she begged to go to the Hartford and the Mansfield shows, but alas, she's home with Nanna. I predict she'll be spending more time on her guitar practice after this experience!

Good for you for bringing your kids and they appreciate it! They're the next generation of PJ fans and we need to raise them right ;) And kudos to the mom with the blue hair who also brought her little boy for the first time too!

I didnt take my oldest daughter this go around, she was at camp but the next time I plan to take her to a few at least.

She is pretty excited about it also. Her favorite song is "Why Go" lol. I dont know why but when that plays she sings right along to it. She also really likes Daughter and Wishlist. She just started asking. Daddy why do you always play the same Pearl Jam guys. Little did she know how it easy it was to fall in love.

Hopefully that easily falling in love part sticks to music and not boys :)

That is true - every time you want a shirt, out of guilt you have to buy them one too. (I speak from experience)

I can't wait to take my son to his first show (if they ever play here again). He is almost 11 and has loved them for awhile. I keep promising to take him!

I did take him to see the Black Crowes last year. They headlined this festival in Dallas. It was one of those "Taste of" festivals where restaurants set up and offer samples of their food and there were rides and games and bands playing. Figured that was a pretty safe place to take a 10 year old to see a show. He loved every minute of it.
