Against all reasonable and financial thinking, I am making the trip from Philly to the alpine shows solo. While sitting at my computer at work today I realized, there is no way in hell that I can miss these shows, and if I do, I will regret it for a long time. One of the best decisions I ever made was calling out of work for a week to attend all 4 spectrum shows. I have never traveled West before and am excited, nervous and thrilled.

You know that you are a fan when you wish you had a time machine, not to go back and see the dinosaurs or to meet Leonardo DaVinci, but to see the Pearl Jam shows that you wish you went to. That will not be the case for me this weekend!

Awesome! Safe travels and see you at PJ20!

I wish I would've bit the bullet and made the reverse trek from Chicago to Philly for the closing of the spectrum

I've always said, I've never regretted going to a show, only not going to one. I think you made the right decision!

I'm sort of amused that going to Wisconsin is considered "travel(ing) West" :)

Haha. I was an east coast child. The closest I ever came to traveling West was when I was playing the Oregon Trail.

I'm from Toronto but Wisconsin isn't really "west". It's the midwest.

First awesome decision!!! Congrats!! Enjoy!!! You'll find the midwest to be easy breezy! Plus you are gonna be amongst awesome peeps - the all encompassing pearl jam trip!

And yes ... Wisconsin/West amuses me to. :) I'm finding quite a few east coasters - me, chicago peep now nyc - haven't traveled very far west or west of the area period. :D

  • Add me to the list of "I can't help myself!!!" Going to a festival for two days pushed me away from getting 10C tix but listening to PJ Radio the last two weeks left me wanting to come "home". Just booked the hotel and got reserved tix for Sunday from another clubber from Atlanta. Alpine, here we come. For you out-of-towners, you'll love the western US. The hills in Wisconsin ARE the foothills to the Rockies.
