Eddie Vedder - Give me some Truth?

I felt to need to say a couple things here to prove my point. Some people on here (WM3 supporters) go on and on about how much of an expert Eddie is on this case and how they trust his judgement.

So I have a quick question for you. I went to the Eddie Vedder concert In June (2009) and was given a Playbill which had a nice little summary of the WM3 case (2 pages). Contained in those pages were 3 lies in the second paragraph alone (about IQ, 12 hour confession). Contained in the rest of the summary are more lies (motive, etc..)
I am trying to figure out how such an extremely intelligent man with more knowledge on the case than anyone could write such a biased summary containing lie after lie and omitting alot of important facts? He describes damien as "dark haired and thoughtful mannered, fingered as the ring leader" Sounds like somebody didn't read Damiens mental history (index 500).
Its sad that somone could lead such a support for a case to get people free, when he clearly hasn't read or studied any case files. If he did, why is he supporting such disinformation/ lies.

So Ill ask again... - if so many supporters (Eddie) demand they have studied the trial transcripts, then why does their "information" directly contradict the testimony so often?

This is not about whether they are guilty or not, its about spreading lies to further your agenda, and Eddie Vedder used his celebrity to do this.
I am extremely sad to be an eddie vedder/PJ supporter today.

    EV may have been given false info about these boys or maybe just made a mistake in judgment as most of do some times but as far as using his celeb status to promote his feelings on the case is wrong in my opinion and this never should have happened just because it could harm his and the bands sales or popularity if it was found that these boy really are guilty not to mention that there are familys of the victims that could launch a campgain for justis and Naming Pearl Jam and Eddie as liars,the whole thing could just get so ugly if a celeb goes in uninformed...I mean look at Jane Fonda remember "American trader bitch" she was called for years and still is to this day....just aint worth the hassle.

    Like I said, I am cool if you looked over all the availabe docuemnts and have come to a different conclusion.
    But why lie to support your agenda?

    Sorry Byrnzie that we dont all come here just to kiss ass. The guy made a pretty well thought out post and made a good point. If you are going to champion a cause you should at least get some facts straight about it. NOW can we all continue to enjoy the greatest rock band on the planet?

    You keep using lie. I haven't taken the time (and won't) to go over all you pointed out but it's possible there are multiple variations of certain things. Like IQ, if you take a test 3 times (I have) you get 3 different numbers etc etc. I've heard the interrogation of Jessie was 4, 8 and 12 hours from multiple sources.

    But Eddie IS converting people to his side by lying? and you seem to be ok with that...
    How is it a toolish move? The dude provided false information and is using his celebrity/band as a platform of support.

    Since I don't know what was in that playbill (and most here probably don't as well), why don't you give us the exact quotes and tell us what the lies are, for a few examples?

    If you wish to speak with Ed about what you're calling his "lying," you'll need to contact him elsewhere. It's not ok to come here and make abusive comments and it's especially not ok to bring his family into it. This thread is done. Send him a letter at the fan club.
