I was thinking about changing all of my live cds on my ipod to one concert. For example Pearl Jam live at the gorge would just be Sept 1 instead of Sept 1 disc 1, sept 1 disc 2, sept 1 disc 3. I want the concerts to flow as if i were at the concert. Do you think it's worth putting in all the time changing all of the album titles and track mumbers on my ipod. I have like 9 pearl jam shows on my ipod and i have about 15 other live cds from other bands

That's what I do...doesn't take much longer at all to set that up initially. I just import one cd at a time into Itunes. Then I update the title and disc # and move onto the next disc.

Shouldn't take too much time to update existing ones as well seeing as they all have a different title. Just select Sept 1 Disc 1 and change it to Disc 1 of 3 and change the title. Then do the same thing with all the others...shouldn't take long at all and will definitely help to unclutter your ipod

If you have the concerts in iTunes, you can select several tracks at the same time, then go to "Get Info" and you can make bulk changes to all the selected files at once.
