I have work tomorrow...

I live in New Jersey. I have work tomorrow at 7 in the morning. At a gym.

WHODAFUCK GOES TO A GYM DURING A HURRICANE?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!

My boss is on the phone with me before and says "Yeah we'll see how it looks tomorrow morning." I was half asleep so i didnt really respond, but what the hell? I dont wanna get stuck there tomorrow! Who is gonna leave their house to do a 30 minute workout during a hurricane!?

Now we have tornado watches. What the hell is going on why not just close the gym!? THEY WOULD UNDERSTAND WHY ITS CLOSED!!

    I thought a State of Emergency meant only emergency personnel were to be on the roadways... find a link regarding that and send it to your boss!

    Isn't 7am gonna be at the height of the storm? Most places have closed down. They just closed part of the Schuykill because of a down tree. I think that's just the beginning.

    Just remember; A paycheck isn't worth the risk of personal injury. I'm sure you'll be more informed in the morning hours as the storm progresses. But if you're boss is gonna be a dick about it, it's not worth it. I work as a custodian for the state of NJ, and I'm still considered "essential personnel" during a state of emergency. If they think I'm risking my life to clean a toilet they can kiss my ass! :) Good Luck!

    thats the thing, he was completely genuine! hes a cool guy, but for christ sake its one day every ten years for a hurricane

    Whole lot of people will be staying home in Boston tomorrow, they're stopping all MBTA service at 8 am. They weren't going to operate at all, but the hospitals need their day staff to be able to get in.

    the hospital my sister works at on Long Island was closed

    hopefully your boss will get some sense and tell you not to come in tomorrow CFR

    I have abs, and I have a six-pack, but I do not have six-pack abs.

    I do hope to get a quick run in tomorrow morning before the shit hits the fan here.

    shoveling snow is a great workout...... so is swimming, your quick run might turn into a quick swim unlost :P

    that is nuts...I'm sure you'll end up being off!!!

    i have to work tomorrow too, but because most of our offices in NY/NJ/Philly are going to be closed, their calls will be forwarded to us. so not only do we have to deal with re-accommodating our own clients who are either stranded and can't get home, we have to work on re-scheduling everyone's trips that got cancelled!! Someone get me a coffee...a big one!

    just got back. we had 5 people come in all morning, and my bosses were there with me like chatting me up on 3 hrs sleep it was awful. i know the weather wasnt too bad but what the hell.

    least i had PJ radio blasting through the whole place

    Apparently where i work has been out of power all day today. Just got a call from our store manager saying to call back tomorrow morning and see if they got power back. I'll probably have to end up going to work anyway. :(
