It is bullshit. They have to plead guilty yet it doesn't mean anything except time served. It is bullshit. Either they are free to go or they are guilty and should be in jail.

I understand the reasoning behind them signing the plea agreement, but I think the agreement itself is bullshit. Basically, it says...we'll we may have fucked up, no one wants to fight anymore and it's been so long ago that we're not sure we could try the case effectively...why don't we just let you go and call it even?
    ...
The legal maneuver was drafted by the prosecution in order to save face on a high profile conviction that probably advanced people's careers. They do not have to claim a loss on the case... and they don't have to re-try the case (with no real evidence, they would have to dismiss). They have the defendants over a barrel because they are already in prison.
The fact that should be infuriating the public is that the murderer or murderers of the 3 boys is probably still at large and has been for the past 18 years. Evidence is long gone and the chance of finding out the truth is pretty much, lost. I'm pissed off that there was more concern after getting someone... than, getting the guilty one.

Like Chris Rock said "I can look guilty at the mall"

Say whatever they want and go home.

(in reference to him saying Kobe should hire Johnny Cochran)
