as a midwesterner who couldnt afford to see ANY shows this year i would be PISSED if its just the east coast again... fuckin selfish how everyones like "ed needs to come to the east coast" days after the full PJ tour ended... i dont think ed would forget his home town of chicago but itd be real upsetting if he did... i rather them just go into the studio now instead of waste this time somewhere i cant see
Its selfish for others to state their desire for Ed to play in their neighborhood?
No one is trying to take medicine from a sick baby, or anything of that sort!
Think about it. The band usually doesn't do short tours like this of America. If they tour, they really tour.
Chalk it up to laziness, age, family or whatever... but I don't think you're going to see a tour on the scale of '03 from the boys ever again. Hate to say it, but at this point it's all about the $$$. That's why they keep touring the east coast so much. They can make more $$$, with less effort, by sticking to the major east coast markets.

HA! Try living in Kansas We haven't had a proper PJ show since 1993. And, no, Kansas City, doesn't really count as Kansas.
*Never seen PJ live* :(

it gets old listening to everyone say "oh ed played west coast now he has to play the east"... "oh PJ played east coast now they have to play the west"... and no one thinks of the people in the middle... not just speaking for myself... cause TX has gotten screwed too... and all the while theres also people talking about jetting across the country to see them 5 times in a row... just gets frusterating... and i think everyone should have their chance before people ask for seconds
and yah we had the only 2 shows last year... but chicago is one of PJ's favorite cities so theres no reason we shouldnt get something this year too
mini tours is what is in store for us from here on out. They all have families, are older, and have side projects. Does a 100 date tour all over the world fit into that agenda? Other than Europe and USA once every few years don't expect any kind of tour with more than 20 dates. That doens't include that hassle of all the other shit.
So stuff like a 8-10 date Aussie/Japan tour
Maybe in 20 years when all their kids are grown up we'll get a big tour again
sorry bud... that sucks... whats the closest big venue to you? st. louis?
I live in the far southwest corner of the state... it's about a six hour drive to OKC, Denver or KC... meaning it's actually cheaper for me to fly than it is to drive. Except for the fact that it's a three hour drive to the airport in Wichita.

i have to agree with you here...they have to make up for all the years they lost money or didnt make as much as they could
if Ed solo tours the East Coast, that pretty much makes zero sense after having the whole band just play those areas
if he does that, then good for him and i will try and get out there, but having us in the midwest travel all the damn time gets expensive
Eddie, please play First Ave in Minneapolis. Thank you.

I was thinking the exact same thing last night- good call. The band WILL play Bridge in Oct since Ed had to cancel last year- makes sense to plan a small tour around Bridge
That's what I've been saying all along about Bridge!
If I could afford it, I would go back to the East Coast to see Eddie. He was amazing in the solo shows! But after MSG last week, I can't do it. But it was soooooo worth it!
