Peter Hook to play Joy Division classics stateside

Joy Division & New Order bassist Peter Hook is to return to the US in September to perform, Closer, the second album from the troubled post-punk Mancunian outfit, according to Gibson.
This will be the second time Hooky has crossed the pond in as many years. In 2010 he performed 'Unknown Pleasures' in its entirety with his band, The Light.
Joy Division were famously about to embark on their first US tour back in 1980. However after a being diagnosed with epilepsy, which subsequently meant he would need to stop performing, lead singer Ian Curtis committed suicide at his Macclesfield home aged 23.
Hook will be returning to many of the same venues he appeared at when he and The Light previously visited the US.
