I see some other threads about ones in other East Coast states. Albany is a 8 hour drive from me so... that's pretty fucking huge if it reached all the way this distance.

Heavy rumbling for less than a minute. I'm guessing I'm closest to the epicenter but to feel it all the way to upstate new york?

...anyone across the boarder in Canada feel it? Or south of VA?

My family's 30 miles from the epicenter. They say they're fine, but it was scary as hell. Wow, I'm so used to earthquakes, but in L.A., not my home state.

im in my early 40s and never felt one before in my life. i imagine compared to those in california it wasn't bad but it scared the shit out of me. i was shaking for like 10 minutes afterwards. i don't like that shaking feeling - hate being on boats for the same reason. it was very freaky.
  • felt in raleigh nc. I thought the building was shaking at first, until my wife and brother both called me asking if I felt it as well.

I don't think anyone is saying it was "bad". More unusual and unexpected, especially considering it was felt from here to Canada.

...and if I hadn't cleared out several-thousand feet of frame moulding from my frame shop this past weekend that was leaning around, I definitely would have been trapped in the back of my frame shop from the domino effect. I don't think there'll be any reports of real damage, though, there is a nuclear power plant pretty darn close to the epicenter of this thing.
