can't copy images into itunes for album artwork - SOLVED!

Hi. Just thought I'd see of anyone here can help me with an issue I've been having recently with my itunes. When the picture won't update from itunes I've always just right clicked on a picture on the internet, then pasted it into the artwork field but recently when I've been doing that the picture pastes blank. Anyone have any ideas? TIA.

Have you tried selecting all tracks of one album, and pasting the image in the 'informations' menu - last tab (cmd + I on mac, right-click then info in the sub-menu on PC - I guess) ? There, you may either copy and paste the picture in the frame or upload it from its location on the computer if you have downloaded it instead of just copying it from the net.

Yeah that's what I normally do but recently it just pastes a blank box & I've tried both ways, just coying from the net & saving to my computer.

Here is another way you can do it that might help:

1. Make it where you view just the albums and not the songs.
2. Right click the album that you want the album artwork for.
3. Lick on "Album Info"
4. Then on the right side you can paste the artwork into the artwork box or you can click the box and find the artwork from you computer.

That's weird indeed.
I assume you tried quitting ITunes and relaunching it and it didn't work either.

You should maybe check that you have read/write permissions :
quit Itunes, go to your Music folder, right-click on ITunes, scroll to the bottom and make sure you have read/write permissions, click the gear icon and select apply to all inclosed items. Then try again. And if that doesn't work, then I don't know. :?

On Mac : if you click on the phrase saying that you have read only permission, it opens a box where you can change it, then you have to enter your password. Hope you're on mac, I have no idea how it works on PC.

Thnx but I'm on PC. I tried un-checking the 'read only' box hoping it would then make it not read only but I still can't add album artwork. :?

Apparently, once you're in 'properties', you have to go to the 'security' tab, click 'edit', select your username and select 'full control'. But I can't try it, obviously .
