Another rock station has bit the big one. WYSP 94.1 will change formats on sept. 7 and become a sports talk show (WIP).

Wasn't too much of a fan of the station after Howard stern left (who is taking credit for the demise of the station). Yeah they played some pj ( mainly the singles). I'll stick with the better "rock" station in Philly now, WMMR.

Howard actually mentioned that he started at YSP 25 years ago today. And they haven't been the same since he left. But regular radio sucks in general now, too many commercials it seems. I even stopped listening to Howard toward the end of his regular radio. Satellite is where it's at if for no other reason - PJ radio. But I still like Pierre Robert on MMR, he's a good dude.
  • recently lost WRXP 101.9 over here, now theres just DHA 105.5 which is like retro rock, not too bad, but then just college radio and classic rock
    MSG II 5/21/10
    Tres Mts. Gramercy Theatre 3/26/11

modern rock radio stations are terrible anyway. wxpn is the only station worth listening to in pa for music.
