Where's everyone thinking about staying in San Jose after the show? Planning to head to Tamarindo or somewhere before or after for a few days but have heard that SJ isn't necessarily where you want to hang out so unsure about best hotels to look at.

Thanks! Very excited ...

We're coming from NYC for the show and we'll be at Mansión del Parque Bolívar Hotel - def not a party place but is well comfortable, has a pool and is close to everything (6km from the stadium). Not to mention the place is gorgeous.

If you are visiting for a few days....try to get to Puerto Viejo on the east coast and stay at Banana Azul - PV is the perfect vibe. We've gone three years in a row.

Thanks. for that one night in SJ we're going to want to be in a nicer place as close to the venue as possible but ideally still near places to go get a beer ... having no idea what the city layout is like i'm not sure what makes sense. someone said the Intercontinental? then we're planning to head to the coast for a few days and that we're fine with being a little more low key. I love the Banana Azul suggestion and some others have recommended Shaka which we're sort of leaning toward for some yoga and surfing since we heard amazing things about Nicoya Peninsula. There was another place in Tamarindo suggested, i forget the name. thanks! very excited to visit your country :D
