when is this birther movement going to end?
it probably does not help that the AP and other news sources give time and space to cover people like this...
i am still waiting for the undeniable proof that he was not born here. this sergeant and his father both say they have seen it and a few on here have seen it apparently.
the guy presented his birth certificate shortly before getting bin laden, remember?
Air Force discharging sergeant who doubts Obama

.OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The Air Force said Wednesday it is discharging a hero of the so-called birther movement who refused to report to duty in Germany for a few days earlier this month because he doubts President Barack Obama's citizenship.
Staff Sgt. Daryn Moran expects to be discharged within the next week. Although the 41-year-old Nebraska man refused to report to duty and had called for Obama's arrest in statements on websites, several other things contributed to his discharge, including his opposition to Obama's decision to allow gays to serve openly in the military.
Moran, who has served nine years in the Air Force, drew the attention of the birther movement when he shared his views on Obama's citizenship on websites of groups that believe Obama was not born in the U.S. and therefore is not eligible to serve as president or commander in chief.
Obama released a copy of his detailed birth certificate from Hawaii in April in an attempt to quell the questions about whether he was born outside the U.S. But many birthers contend Obama's birth certificate must be a fake.
Moran was an ophthalmology technician with the 86th Airlift Wing at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, where he had been stationed since October 2010. He was put on leave sometime earlier this year after some of his co-workers at the eye clinic were bothered by comments he made about the repeal of "don't ask, don't tell" and about Muslim terrorists and how he thought Obama was connected to Muslims. One of the doctors at the clinic was Muslim.
It's not clear whether Moran would have been prosecuted for refusing to report for duty because it appears his discharge was approved by his commander about a week beforehand.
Air Force spokesman Michael Kucharek said Wednesday that his commander approved the discharge on Aug. 4. Moran had refused to report for duty starting last Thursday.
Moran said he is receiving an honorable discharge, but the Air Force would only confirm that he is being discharged.
Moran said he didn't consider his orders valid because he doesn't consider Obama's presidency valid. Even as he was waiting for the Air Force to decide what to do with him, Moran was calling for Obama's arrest.
"I doubt America's future if we choose to abandon the Constitution at the moment of this battle with B. Obama's desire for absolute authority and unwillingness to cooperate," Moran said Wednesday in an email from Germany to The Associated Press. ( )
Earlier this year, an Army doctor who disobeyed deployment orders because he doubted Obama's birth records served five months of a six-month prison sentence for refusing to go to Afghanistan. Terry Lakin, of Greeley, Colo., pleaded guilty in December to disobeying orders and was convicted of missing a flight that would have gotten him to his eventual deployment Lakin was tried at Fort Meade.
Like Lakin, Moran has appeared in YouTube videos with leaders of the birther movement.
Moran said he started doing research online about Obama after he was put on leave and after two airmen were killed in March in a shooting in Frankfurt, Germany.
Moran's father, Howard Moran, said he's proud of his son for taking a stand, and the information his son found online also convinced him that Obama isn't qualified to be president.
"Even if you don't agree with him, you have to give him some credit. I believe he's doing what he thinks is right," said Howard Moran, who also served in the Air Force.
Daryn Moran joined the Air Force after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. He previously served in the Marines from 1991-1995.
Moran said Wednesday that he hoped to be back in his hometown of Omaha within the next week with his wife and two children.

Besides they guy saying that Obama is "unwilling to cooperate", which to the democrat's chagrin, he has done nothing but compromise and bend over backwards on big issues, from when Obama came on the national scene, among other things, here are some internet "facts" about him:
1) He will take everyone's guns away
2) He will start a secret army to carry out all of his policies
3) He will try to repeal the 22nd amendment and remain in power indefinitely
4) He will in-doctrine kids in school
5) He is a Muslim
6) He wasn't born in the US
None of these has had any basis in fact, even years after starting, but they get regurgitated over and over and over again by crazies on the internet and elsewhere.
At some point, after being lied to over and over again by talk radio hosts and bloggers, you'd think people would at some point call them out on just making shit up and crying wolf.

That's what all this Birther Movement, Obama is a Muslim, this that and the other spouts from. It's a result of false information that the fear mongering of groups and media talk show hosts contribute to. People get so extreme (and both ends of the political spectrum do this) that their fear turns into hysteria and lack of reason.
Some things to consider:
1)They have a Hawaii Newspaper that was published the day after Obama's birth and is archived in libraries in Hawaii that announces his birth in an area hospital. That is hard to fake numerous years later.
2)Would a faithful Muslim baptize his Children into a Christian denomination?
etc. etc.
The claims are so ridiculous, but in all honestly I think there is a bit of Irony in it all. This man says that we should pay more attention to the constitution because if we don't Obama will take absolute control. I think that man needs to look at the constitution itself. There is a little notion within it called Checks and Balances. That is why we have three branches of government (although many Americans can't even name what those are). Sure, politicians can and could become corrupt and at times people in power try to manipulate the system. Yet for years our governmental system of checks and balances has overcome. At times it is slowly- but surely, it has done its job.
America is not perfect but our legal and social setup is pretty good. Fear leads to a lack of faith or trust. And that man's fear makes me believe he has lost all faith in the constitution he claims to be concerned about. If he had more faith in it I think his extreme conspiracy theories would be a little less controlling of his life.
After all, Obama has been in office for three years, and it might be 8 in total. But we have yet to completely kill over as a nation yet. And I don't expect to be doing that anytime soon.
I don't think so....and that's why I could care less...one way or the other.

Exactly. Oh well, the Air Force isn't going to miss one ophthalmology technician stationed in Germany. It's not like he had to follow many direct Presidential orders when he was telling pilots to "read the second line" of the eye chart.
How did this one fact get lost in all of this birther nonsense? If you are active or reserve duty... you HAVE to report to duty... you don't get a choice.
...
It'd be like if I didn't go to work and got fired go not going to work... then went to the press and said I got fired because I believe God lives in my radio and it's my employer's that are in the wrong for firing me.

...
The problem is that the birthers have their heads so far up their asses that the only hear the sound of their own farts.
Hail, Hail!!!
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
Ain't that the truth?
...
What i can't reconcile... is the logic. That the birthers must think along this logic:
In 1961... someone must have known that this baby... born of a white woman... and a black male... from KENYA, mind you... MUST have know that 47 years in the future... this baby would become the President of The United States... so, they convinced BOTH major Honolulu newspapers to publish his birth... ALL so they could get this baby... in to the oval office.
Yet... the birthers never say How these 'people' knew this... or how they did all of this.
Did Obama himself do this... if so, how? He was a fucking BABY in 1961!!!
Hail, Hail!!!
either that or the cia...

2. Binaural is correct, this dude signed a contract and must report. Nine years in, he knew the consequences and he got away with it
3. I'm sure he fell under the "conscientious objector" clause, but he should have gotten out when he could, it's Germany for Chrissakes! Beer!
Edit: I edited to correct my misspelling of conscientious.
