I'm Bored of the Internet!

Most days I just check my email (once or twice), I check PJ.com (once or twice)... I try to stay away from Facebook, but it's the only way I get to talk to my brother during the week. I frequent these other sites: Reddit.com and Digg.com, for news and info. I have the world at my finger tips and I feel like it's going to waste. I'm curious what else is out there and I'm hoping to see what others are looking at. What's cool these days? Any suggestions? Thanks!

actually i kind of am in the same boat as the OP. i pretty much only go to a few sites and would love some good sites to visit but don't feel like searching through like 10 bad ones to find one good one. Would love some unbiased news sites, good music sites and anything well-written about sports.
so, my suggestion is to think of something you've always wanted to learn and go nuts ...
if you like pro football, coldhardfootballfacts.com is EXCELLENT
i use to visit digg.com but not so much anymore, something changed for the worse about 6 mos back.

http://www.vbs.tv is a really cool site...was introduced to it by a friend here..the Vice Guide series is awesome..
These guys:
http://www.vbs.tv/en-ca/watch/the-vice- ... rea-1-of-3
....find a way into North Korea, and covertly film their trip...
They also go to Liberia, just cause they heard it's the most dangerous place in the world...their adventures are crazy! Lots of good video on that site.
http://www.topdocumentaryfilms.com is a good resource for...uh...documentaries.
I click around http://www.afrigadget.com/ once in a while, it's a site dedicated to African MacGuyver-types, can be interesting...
http://www.nfb.ca/ (national film board of canada) has a pretty extensive archive of Canadian film...
democracynow! has enough good footage in their archives to keep me busy if I'm bored (tho being a dad and homeowner, 'bored' is not in my lexicon - more become procrastination than boredom these days)...lots of other news sites I frequent.
There is another site you may have heard of that's great for killing time.....can usually find SOMETHING worth watching..it's called youtube.com
REAL LIFE, is still pretty cool if you know how to live it.
The poison from the poison stream caught up to you ELEVEN years ago and you floated out of here. Sept. 14, 08
