the man leaves me speechless
he brings home my watery eyes
when i wasn't
i couldn't

gives his breast
asks for nothing
in silent as a shadow in a dark corridor
growing around a web of thoughts, actions
and grace

he is my rain on days deserts rage war in my broken throat dry bones bleaching in the sunshine barely moving along as if an old man

with pause (calm thinking) and kindness
he touches my far away heart
brings to me the best
so we can stand
together a mountain

thank you, friend

"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
