Nothing remarkable there. MANY Texas politicians switched from the Dems to the Reps during the 80s and 90s.

I don't think he's a "closet" anything. His dark, shady past as a Democrat has been well known. He's still won roughly 17,000 consecutive gubernatorial elections in Texas.

He's about as left-leaning as Hitler.

To me, this is the questions he's going to have to be prepared to answer on the stump. Because it will follow him from state to state.

he is going to laugh that shit off. his base could care less about that. this actually gets him more support in within his base. and probably with " joe voter."

Um, not that I'm sure I'm a fan of his, but it's pretty easy to see isn't it?

If you think something is broken, you go fix it. Make it what it should be. Pretty easy opinion to defend.

As a democrat he tried to pass a bill forcing any elected official making more than 10 grand resign if they ran for a higher office. Weird that he hasn't resigned yet...
