Is anyone else familiar with this artist? I only just discovered him today and it's some amazing music. I've been missing out. I just wanted to share it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UVNT4wvIGY

hmmm...I don't know, all I hear is Phil Collins. I pin this somewhere between indifferent and borderline annoying.

This song has been stuck in my head for 3 days...and I still love it! It's been playing on the radio out here for a few weeks. Pretty popular song too...

I Chose "Somebody That I Used to Know" as #1 in my top 50 songs of the year. I came across it randomly and did not know how huge it was in some countries until after i submitted my list.

Pretty positive this is about to blowup in the US. My list may look lame because of it but bottom line it is a perfect pop song with top notch lyrics. Tough to hold something like that down. And Kimbra is gorgeous!

I have to admit to really disliking this, sounds like Sting crossed with The Pet Shop Boys, just my opinion.

Me too. I saw him on the Union of Soul tour supporting the John Butler Trio in 2008, thought he was pretty good live.

They've shown it on Rage, one of our music shows in Australia. I love this quirky little number and am getting it on my iPod.

I kept hearing all this buzz around Gotye and just listened to some of his music. Needless to say, I now understand all the hype and I am hooked!! Really really awesome stuff, I'd love to catch him live! (too bad when he comes to NYC I'm at school, and when he's in DC I'll be in NY!)

An Aussie friend got me into him over the summer and I tried to get the local independent radio station to take a listen. They wouldn't, but I was pretty surprised to hear them playing "Somebody That I Used to Know" in December. Now, everyone is starting to love him. I like Kimbra in his song, but don't care for any of her own stuff. She is gorgeous though.
