Friends and FOES

Ever check out someone's profile on here and see the option to add them as a "foe"? I never knew what it did, until I made this post in the Technical section of the BBS here. In short, you CAN block people / not read their posts by adding them as a "foe." I didn't know this, and maybe you guys didn't either? Anyway, maybe it will help ease some tension around here? Or do we come to the Train for a good verbal sparring match / all out brawl?

Long time for sure!
Although I don't like the term, this board does have a "foe" feature. As with the previous forum the feature blocks a persons posts but not if someone else quotes them. From the Forum page click on "account" and navigate to the Friends & Foes tab. Ultimately, it's up to each person to follow the Posting Guidelines and to be their own personal ignore feature by not reading or responding.

i tried that and still have one person listed as foe but i still read their crap because whenver they post their crap you see that they made a crap post. so i read the crap anyway.

pointless.

its a pretty useless feature really...


the ignore/block feature on the old board worked much better.

yeah, i did that...eventually just took them off the foe list.

I just realized I love this feature except that there's an option to see the post.

It's a TEASE!!! Get rid of it please, so I can simply ignore with no possibilities of setbacks.

it's why i stopped using the foe feature.

I recently foed someone. just got tired of their nonsense. yeah, there is the option of displaying the post, but just ignore it. I was hoping it just deleted them from my eyes completely, but ignoring it is just as easy.

Its a good feature I too just had to discover,
it works well for ignoring
but
I wish there was an option to block a foes pms as well ...
that is where the real abuse lies.


I haven't found how to delete without opening :?
