Foo Fighters @ The Metro Sat Night, Lolla warmup

Anybody get tickets to this bad boy? It was announced at 10AM this morning, tickets went on sale at 11AM, and the Metro website functions much like the ten club website. I guess tickets went in 2 minutes. I was in the waiting area, but did not make it through to purchase tickets.

    I'm in. Finally got tickets at 11:23. crashed a lot, but was a field day compared to PJ20.

    Of course I'm not going to be in Chicago until the day after.

    Not sure how, but I got tix at 11:01. I guess my F5 button mashing from PJ20 tix paid off again. Now I just have to figure out how to navigate the Metro on crutches...

    Heard the announcement this morning that a BIG show was gonna be revealed and I was really hoping for a Jim James Solo show at one of the tiny venues like Schubas or Elbo Room, could do without the Foos, but great venue if you get a chance to go.

    I'm out of town for a bachelor party this weekend so I didnt even try to get tickets! I heard the announcement before the tickets went on sale too...have fun to those who got tickets!

    The Foos absolutely KILLED it last night/this morning. They played almost three hours!

    The last time I saw them was in '95 on their first tour opening for Mike Watt also at the Metro. Hovercraft opened in '95 with some famous guy with a space helmet drumming... ;)

    Incredible show. The whole band was having a great time, especially Dave of course.

    I might be missing a few and it's definitely out of order. I can provide an exact setlist in the next few days. It was just over 2.5 hours. Only celebrity I saw was Matt Pinfield in the balcony.

    It sucked seeing some of the people standing outside looking for tickets and then going inside and seeing so many bored girlfriends and dudes who just wanted to get hammered. what a waste, but it's inevitable. Great show though. Free poster was handed out at the door when leaving and it is numbered out of 800.
