So the gist of her message is that stupid narcissistic people vastly outnumber smart manipulative people? Yeah, I agree ... even though I'm communicating to you with my stuff. ;)

I didn't get any sense that she was calling people stupid or narcissistic and I don't see the video as being that narrow if focus. I'm not sure I understand your summation.

Yeah, I'm not following you either, Jason.

    Please elaborate.

  • Conservatives will not like this video. Ironic that the conservatives aren't very big on conserving anything other than money.

Yes, there really is some irony in that word! I have to say though, I do know a woman who considers herself "old school Republican" and describes herself as "conservative" and yet who is very conservation minded. She's a big supporter of environmental issues, believes strongly in supporting local economy, buys everything she can used, eats organic food, lives modestly and is one of the kindest people I know. I keep telling her, "Why don't you just drop the adjectives?"

But yes, sadly most people who consider themselves conservative will take issue with this video and many conservatives are mostly money focused. I hate generizing but I think in this case that is true. And the ironic thing is that supporting sustainable living make sense for everybody. Why so many people chose short term gain (and in today's word that could likey be very short term) over making the world we live in clean and liveable is beyond me. And please don't anyone tell me it's ok because Jesus is going to come and take us away. I'm pretty sure Jesus would shit bricks over our treatment of the planet and each other.

Ok, sorry to be on my soapbox-- it's just one of those things that drives nuts. It could all be so good...
