anyone have anything? i wish i could meet and talk with him about a few things.

i like the guy. i don't think he is presidential. i think he is much more effective and influencial doing what he is doing now. a lot of people dismiss him as a crackpot, but i think he is exposing new ways of looking at events and raising questions. he has really had an interesting life though.

Don't let him fool you. He is great at speaking and getting people to believe the stuff he has to say. He is a show man. After experiencing his historic independent governor run in MN and the aftermath of a terrible job in office, I can tell you that Jesse says all the right things...but does very few of them. He is/was no different than any other politician except for his penchant for trying to literally physically intimidate the press corps during news conferences. He took full advantage of his post to self promote...if you think he is any different than any other candidate you are wrong...the only reason he would ever even have people think he is going to run is to promote himself and to get time on talk shows.

Once in office he would bounce around and make sure to do just about nothing all the while blaming others and then write his memoirs...it would be out before his first term is up, and he would make sure to have two more before leaving the presidency...he was then, is now, and always will be for one thing...Jesse Ventura. He set third party politics back 20 years when he was elected and for that I will never forgive him.

he's not a career politition. people fuck up in every position taken, gas pump attendant or governor. he's honest and better than most folks in D.C. or in state office buildings.

sure he's a showman, so is arnold and so was r. reagan. i personally feel he's got more balls and integrity than most people do.

who's that one old bastard, i think he's a senator who also happens to be an actor?

what I am telling you is he isn't honest. Go back and look at some of his campaign promises and then what HE did in office, not what he was forced to do, but what he did...Especially to young people on the college front...you can get burned by him if you want, but his motivations aren't pure...they are for Jesse and Jesse only...so I guess if you are up for the same thing that is in office now, campaign for him to run...but don't say i didn't warn you when he lets you down. Career politician or not, he is a career bullshit artist. I will give you one thing though, he is a likable guy, I understand why people are interested in him, but I just hope they don't, and after his stint as governor I don't think he is enough of an unknown to really get back into politics in any meaningful way

running for office and promising something before getting in the big chair at the governors office is two different things. promising this or that seems plausible before hand whereas it fails when in office. it's ideas good or bad that are put out on the table then don't actually happen or happen but fail once in office.

running for any office seems to work this way.

i promise this. blah blah blah.
a year or two later things change. it may not be that individuals fault or whatever.

shit is fucked up in office. i do not understand the ins and outs nearly as much as others. i am learning.

and as far as "the same thing that is in office now" goes, he inherited this disaster he did not create it. any man or women alive would have had the exact same crap goin on.

the government hands down problems to each new elected official. in some cases those officials keep creating more and more problems, its an avalache of shit and piss.

I meant more along the lines of career politician(CP), not a shot at the current guy in the presidential office. You said that Ventura wasn't a CP and that was a good thing (would be a good thing) but I was simply saying from his experience as governor that he isn't any different than career politicians. He passed on shit too, more than would have been necessary save the self inflicted wounds and simply ignoring the job to go on book tours. I realize that campaign promises are one thing...but he wasn't forced to go back on it...he chose to go back on it...It would be like if Obama promised government run, single payor system for health care and then he chose to not do it even though it was doable. Does that make sense? there is a big difference in not being able to deliver because of opposition and not being able to deliver because you decided not to...

look at your haircut, Sir. what does your hairstyle look like?
i don't shoot Ventura down because of his hairstyle or because of what he has participated in during his duties as a navy seal, or fucking shit up as governor.

ok so he may not be presidential material in some peoples' eyes, at least he questions government and big money corporations and lights a fire under their fat asses. that's fantastic to my notion. fuck it.

I think Ventura is a recovering politician. He may not have been the best governor, and didn't even care to be the best at that time. I think he has had an epiphany since 9/11 about how government at the federal level works (or works against us) and has been trying to do his best since then, and has since really taken issue with the Vietnam War and what (and who) he and his friends were actually fighting for. I think if he ran for office this time around he would do things much differently, but he certainly isn't helping his cause seeing as how he didn't take being governor seriously the first time around. I can see why Mike P wouldn't want to vote for him again. "We won't get fooled again."

I like him. He is a bit cheesey, as is his show Conspiracy Theory, but I think there is good information and good intentions behind it all and has been net positive for showing people not to put their full faith into government.

The hiarcut comment was a shot at trying to be funny. Lighting a fire and scaring the shit out of people with false claims by using he said she said BS are two different things. A lot of people question governemnt and they do so by using stats and facts. • I wouldn't say I have the best bullshit radar around, but I think Jesse is honest and has a lot of integrity, and loves the USA more than anything. I think he hates how the country is run now, and wants it to change. He sees the corruption in office, and I think that's why he didn't run again; he was against a brick wall of BS.

That being said, being a Canadian, I know nothing of his gubernatorial track record.
