That is crazy, I was looking at the same one earlier today and thinking about ordering the same one b/c of the koa. Could you please let me know how it sounds when you get it?

Sure - if I can remember. I actually bought a baritone uke and had it restrung for me, but I didn't realize a baritone uke is not tuned like the other sizes. It's tuned like the four smallest strings on a guitar. That means all the fun of learning new chords and playing along with the songbook doesn't work. I assumed a uke was a uke and was tuned like 'my dog has fleas' but it's not the case. The tenor uke is the largest size that is tuned like a traditional uke.

Yeah, I heard the tenor is a little bigger and the sound is better than the soprano concert. Looking forward to hearing about you your new uke

Just got the uke today. It's not restrung lefty for me to really give a proper test drive yet but I've tuned it and am pretty proficient playing it upside down.

I guess I'm not the best guy to judge this particular one relative to other tenors since it's the only tenor I've ever played but I really like it. The construction is very tight, it's a beautiful looking instrument, and you can tell it's quality construction and will last. I've seen other ukes with things like cheap crummy tuning pegs and these are nice and tight.

The sound is oviously louder than my soprano and far less tinny. It has a nice warm round sound and is sure way easier to play (upside down and backwards no less). It seems like a great instrument for the money. I'm sure an $800 uke would blow it out of the water but this one was less than $200. I am not getting any odd buzzing or rattling. My local Guitar Center only has soprano, concert, and one baritone uke so there were no other tenors to play with either. I'm happy I got this one. Hope this helps a little.
