When it says "the untold story.... of a great american rock band", it should say "the untold story.... of THE GREATEST american rock band."

Hard to take that away from Bruce and PJ probably agrees.

    More to Come....
  • obviously that title and honor belongs to the jonas brothers
    Follow the ageless tide.
    Follow the angled light.
    Follow the strangest tribe.
  • The Doors, The Ramones, The Beach Boys, Metallica, Bruce & The E Street Band, The Allman Brothers, and Aerosmith could all make a pretty respectable claim to that subjective title.

I think "a great..." sounds better, anyway.

    I haven't watched smiliegirlblush.gif
trailers sometimes spoil the anticipation for me.

My hope is there is a lot of current stuff to go with the early days.

PJ has always been amazing and I a fan from the start
but in the here and now they are exquisite and I miss seeing them more.

What's not to say that it did say "greatest", but the boys asked for that to be removed, and the producer changed it to "great"?

Sounds like the band I know and love.

Yep. Plus, it would be pretty egotistical to put "greatest american rock band".

Don't have to talk the talk, when you walk the walk. Plus this isn't sports, it's music. Highly objective. Their footprint( not Carbon, Stone ;) ) is huge, and will continue to grow.

My only complaint is I've already seen most of this footage in the "unreleased" Pearl Jam movie.

My complaint is its not long enough. I was hoping for about a ninety minute preview.

Even if they are being modest, "great" just isn't superlative enough when describing Pearl Jam.
plus if theyre thinking of broader appeal to non PJ fans..... "great" just doesnt cut it IMO

haha yes, a ninety minute preview, and about an 8 hour movie would be perfect.

Meeeeeh, I hate to say it because I personally like them, but Aerosmith has been bad for way longer than they were ever good for.

IMHO, Pearl Jam are the quintessential rock band, ranked right next to, if not above The Beatles, as my favorite music makers - and I've got approximately 400 artists in my collection. But, then again, I might be biased, but happily so
