I would say the best guitarist out there today. The man is a genius.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

So awesome DC. Derek's the best guitarist I've ever seen live, both with DTB and ABB. Haven't seen Tedeschi-Trucks Band yet, but I intend to. This is what he was born to do. He has been blessed with the gift of Duane.

I saw the Tedeschi Trucks Band in London at the start of their European tour, unfortunately a delayed train meant I missed Robert Randolph & The Family Band who opened. Quite simply one of the best shows I've seen by anyone. Derek and Susan really have struck gold with this band, they also had a horn section for the European shows, and I hope that it continues, much as I love Derek Trucks Band, this is the way forward.

My favorite guitarist out today. I've seen him several times with the Allman Brothers Band and the Derek Trucks Band. His slide playing is amazing. He approaches his solos more like a sax player than a guitarist.
