    I think that's what the video was about...how racism in the past has directly effected things like education, income, and so on in the present.

    are they suggesting its perpetual tho? ... i'm not sure ... i do think there is a war on class in the US ... that isn't so much born from race but status now ...

    well here's the thing, if your parents couldn't buy a house in a nice neighborhood in the 40-60s, or couldn't get social security as returning vets from WWII, and so on then their offspring likely wasn't going to get into good schools, get good jobs, get a good house, and so on. So this certainly fucks minorities over for the next generation, then, just as the gap is getting closed, the government, from Reagan on, decides to regress economically thereby giving more wealth to people who had it (overwhelmingly white) and taking it away from those that didn't (overwhelmingly not-white). The war on class therefore is a new form of racism without being so overt about it.
