ISO - Music for our PJ20 & Canada Roadtrip

Hi fellows,
we combine PJ20 and some of the Canadian gigs with our holyday. We are going to drive around 3.000 miles.
Our ipod is full of PJ bootlegs and other nice music. Nevertheless the trip is a good opportunity to listen new music without breaks.
I'm looking for some music recommendations. Could old style, could be alternative, could be folk, I'm open
Any ideas?

btw - at PJ20 we can discuss about my opinion on your recommendation :D

    indeed, especially Gaslight Anthem is a great band. I think they will have a great future.
    Which albums from Social D are good to start with?

    It's an early example of country rock... and Gram Parsons had a spectacular voice.

    Also, Alexi Murdoch's soundtrack to Away We Go is great road trip music in my eyes, as is the Drive-By Truckers' The Dirty South, and Jack Johnson's soundtrack to his surfing documentary, A Brokedown Melody. Finally, The Band's The Last Waltz is great :D
