can't believe nobody has mentioned Stephen Lynch yet, the guy is right on the edge at times, but very very funny!

"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Thank you again everyone for the recommendations. I'm going to eventually check out at least one album by each comedian mentioned, but this is what I'm going to start with:

Bill Burr - Why Do I Do This
    Jim Norton - Despicable
George Carlin - It's Bad for Ya
Jerry Seinfeld - I'm Telling You For The Last Time
    Louis CK - Hilarious
    Paul F. Tompkins - Impersonal
    Greg Giraldo - Midlife Vices

Drop Jim Norton, and add Dave Attell's "Skanks for the Memories"

Seriously, trust me on this one.

I already own this one - and I agree, it's great stuff. As far as I know, it's the only album he has, is that right?

John Mulaney - The Top Part
    Tommy Johnagin - Stand-Up Comedy
Steven Wright - I Have a Pony and I Still Have a Pony

All of those are great, I also recommend Nick Thune's "Thick Noon" and Myq Kaplan's "Vegan Mind Meld", but those aren't nearly as good.

Nice! Not positive, but I think it is his only disc. I do have a dvd that he came out with after called "Captain Miserable". It's decent, but definitely not as good as "Skanks".

Some years back, my wife and I went to the Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee and saw Attell, Louis Black, and Mitch Hedberg all on the same bill. Mitch was great, Louis was great, but Dave absolutely DESTROYED that night. I look back on that night now and think to myself "I'll never see a better comedy show than that." That was a great night.

If you can, I'd suggest Let It Go for Bill Burr.
I'll have to check that one out when I get back - thanks for the suggestion!
