I'm pretty bummed I'm missing this show. I planned on driving over from Portland, but now have family coming in from Michigan.

Anxious to hear about the setlist. Wondering if anyone from Portland is making the trip. PM or post details about the show!

Oh and PM me if I can pay someone to pick up an extra poster.

I'm going, I don't know if the Gorge will allow poster tubes in or not...I can try to get you a poster if you like. :D
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

    Wow! That would be awesome!

Yeah, I'm not sure the policy. I've only been there for Sasquatch and I take a bunch of stuff in. Then again, it's an all day festival over the span of 3-4 days.

I thought the show was pretty good. It was very hot out (but not as hot as the 2006 pearl jam shows!). We got into the ampitheatre just as the meat puppets were finishing their set. They were playing Lake of Fire which sounded pretty good.

We grabbed some beers, found same shade to chill out in for Mastadon (which I don't really care for... the friend I was with dug them though). Then we went onto the floor for QoTSA who were pretty good. They're set seemed better then the one I saw when they opened for NIN in Vancouver '05.

Soundgarden was awesome! I didn't get end up going to the vancouver show because I couldn't get there in time with work/ferries etc.... So I decided to trek out to the gorge show instead. It was definitely worth it. The last time I had seen Soundgarden was in '96 at the PNE forum (Vancouver). They played every song I would of wanted to hear. They played for about 2 hours. The crowd was very into it. They aren't that animated on stage, but Chris Cornell's voice was sounding awesome, and the band was playing pretty tight.

Cool moment of the show, was went Chris Cornell took someone's cell phone and recorded a momento video from onstage for the person up front. Cool Stuff...

I'm not got at reviews, but it was definately worth the ferry trip and 5 hour drive. On the other side the Mariner's game I attended yesterday, not so much :)

Thanks for the info! Sounds like it was a great show at a great venue!

I've only been able to see them twice: Lollapalooza 92 and in Berkeley for the Superunknown tour.
