    it was written may 8th, so I doubt an album this year is still possible... I wouldn't mind though :D

    mike was telling people on tour that they had 5 done

    i didnt pay attention to dates so when it said that mike said the album might be out in '08 i got all excited. when i finally DID pay attention to dates, i noticed it said that pearl jam is about to embark on a 13 date tour in june. thats when my heart sank :( i mean an album this year is still possible, but i dunno...

    Take heart, it's almost September, this year is flying like crap through a goose, and it seems like they have all sorts of sweet things planned to keep us going this fall...need something to look forward to in 2009, don't we??

    That is what he told me at the last FTM show at El corzan said about 5 songs done man i cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The 4 or 5 songs completed part is a misquote. McCready said 4 or 5 ideas. That's far from complete.

    yeah.. and now that i think of it, if they had an album out now, that would mean a tour soon, and i'll be in australia for a few months next year, so that would majorly suck if they decide to tour then. i know quite a few aussies on here who complain a lot about about pearl jam not visiting them and quite frankly i dont need to know how that feels ;)

    They will start the next tour (for this new album) in Australia!! So you'll be fine :D

    I agree. And, I'm not sure who was quoted (either Mike or Ed) as saying that Ed hadn't even written any lyrics to those songs yet.

    My guess is they'll get back in the studio around November, work on the album and optimistically have something ready for fall '09.
