I know (and hope) this never happens but what if it does? Do you think its possible that Chris Cornell and the rest of PJ could bring back Temple of the Dog? I know its a long shot but hey, you never know

I was thinking about this last night, in the context that the show last night was great (it's probably the best live experience I've ever had) in a way that was so different from going to a PJ concert.

However, I think if Ed can have the best of both worlds (playing with the band and solo, a la Neil Young), why wouldn't he?

please don't bring this up! :(

i love vedder solo, i love the side projects by the band members.

but when the band comes together, back to pearl jam. the magic & spirtual power they have together, is something out of this world. the music they make together is something this life needs.

    It's possible.

I agree 1000%. Ed knows this aswell, hell he doesn't even want to be on magazine covers with out the other guys. Ed is not your modern everyday rock singer, he's special. Pearl Jam will be here for atleast 20 more years.

no, unless he does like a Vegas act with the whole Gold Lame thing and begins to sing alongside a piano with a drink in one hand and a smoke in the other, I think we are safe to say that although we love Eddie, ( I truly do) I would hate to see him break from the band that put it all together so well.
I hope they do not break up ever. really.

i dont think he'd ever break away from the band. he loves it, he's said before that he hopes they go on for a long time. plus it seems too much of a selfish, show-offy thing to do. and a TOTD reunion? unlikely, they did one album to express their feelings/dedicate songs to andy wood and thats it.

This would never happen. On the way home from the show last night I told my wife how impress I was with Eddie. Every time he talked about pearl jam it was with the words of "we", "the band" or "us". You never heard him say "me". I'm sure this is a one time tour unless Penn writes another touching movie and has eddie write a soundtrack for that movie.

My guess is Eddie wrote some great pearl jam songs in the Boston Opera House over the last few days. He did mention he sat in the seats and it was a great place to think.

Won't happen. Ed could've always done this, and kind of has on a smaller scale. It would've happened in '95 or '00 if it was going to.

However, I think the coolest thing Cornell ever did was Temple. It's one of my favorite albums of all time. I dug Soundgarden bigtime, Audioslave was not that interesting to me, and most of his solo stuff seems pretty boring to me - Euphoria Morning had some good stuff.

A new TOTD album would be cool. Cornell has always said it would never happen though - it was a one-time project for a very specific purpose.

This would be more like Pearl Jam adding Chris Cornell as a member and not PJ breaking up.

Chris Cornell out of Soundgarden = bad.
