Wishlist Fundraiser...Making a Difference

The story is a simple one.
A man is a fan. The fan is going to PJ20. This fan's weekend in Wisconsin is going to be a little more special than most. You see, it is this fan's 44th birthday (Sept. 4) and he has been selected to get reserved seating for his birthday show. It will be this fan's 22nd show. Sadly, this fan has never won a lottery, but this year could be different, the fan thinks. The numbers point to it! (44th birthday on the 4th, 22nd show, 2 tix...it adds up!) The fan gets to thinking...what can be done to make this occasion a different and positive one for all (how often does one have a birthday with his favorite band playing along with 37,000 friends)? BAM! The fan has an idea!
In honor of one of my favorite PJ songs and one that I think resounds with the world daily, I am hoping to make a "Difference" in an indfferent world. I am banking on the power of positive vibes and wishes and in return will donate $1 to the Wishlist Fundraiser (note: the man/fan is a public school teacher with a limited budget, so we'll see how far this thing actually goes...
) for each Bump, +1, or POSITIVE note that this thread receives. The fan doesn't care if it's a postive thought for him to finally score lottery tix (much appreciated!), or for the safety of all going, or for the great feelings of Japan winning a World Cup in a time when it needed it. It can be about all the great things that will happen at the festival -- from the music, to the people meeting new friends at the shows, to the joy of finding a short bathroom line during an encore break....ANYTHING.
Just make it positive and have some fun with it. You supply the good news, I'll supply $1 for you to give a great cause. Hoping to get 150 or so posts before I leave for the shows, but that is now up to you...
Oh, and if anyone wants to match the donation or make a donation at the fundraisers, that would be cool, too. Let's see how much positive "difference we can make."
Cheers!
(PS -- Laura, consider this my RSVP!)

well, that seems to be a bit exclusive of all other facial hair possibilities.
poor goatees, beards, soul-patches and flavor savers.
