how i ALMOST won tickets to EV in toronto

Ok here is my little story of how i almost won EV tickets for the first toronto show.

I was listening to 102.1 the edge when they announced they would be giving away EV tickets before 6 pm. It was 5:30 so i waited in my car until they announced the question. The question was:

Pearl Jam, Incubus, Foo Fighters among other bands played tribute to what band on VH1? The answer was very easy so i called up to try and get in. After about 8 calls with just a busy signal, i finally get a ring and my heart starts beating faster. I was sure i already won the tickets. The next thing i hear is the radio playing live, about 30 seconds before it actually went on the air. I waited and kept listening to hear when they would ask me. I waited on hold for exactly 1 hour and 7 minutes without ever actually getting on the air! I eventually hung up because my phone was running out of battery. The only reason i stayed on the line that line is because they never announced giving away the tickets at all. I was so pissed lol.

    I too tried that day but only got a busy signal and, if I'm not mistaken, that's not the only time that was the question they posed.
