Hey everyone,

I thought it would be cool to have a thread with our covers of Ed's uke songs. I've done two so far by myself:

    But, I think these songs sound good from a variety of sources... not just one!

    ha ha... never saw that skit.

    I didn't train or anything, I just sang along to bands like Pearl Jam since I was a teenager.

    Good stuff! I love hearing Can't Keep. Solid cover all around. Also, that's a sweet ukulele. What make is it?

    surfed malpais and playa negra a few years back. donated some footwear to the malpais sandal exchange.

    the blue uke is an earnest instruments tululele. ed plays a tenor, mine's a concert. it gets a lot of play. pretty much comes with me everywhere. joel eckhaus, the maker, is a super chill dude from maine who makes just superb instruments.

    also have a lanikai tenor, mele pineapple soprano, and risa les paul electric, which is quite dangerous to pick up, because you can't put it down.

    i got some uke addiction issues

    inlet you rock! well done! totally channeling eddie there! And note the key here: using a real mic, not just the camcorder's mic. Suspect you recorded vid and audio at same time but seperately, then deleted the camcorder's soundtrack and pasted in the better audio file? Or hey, yeah, you could just run the real mic into the vid cam input... doh.

    Only had my uke for 3 weeks but i'm hankerin to lay something down, but funny, I haven't cracked the songbook yet!

    Figured out Built to Spill's "Carry the Zero" and working on merging Dear Prudence and Lucy In the Sky like Iz did with Rainbow/Wonderful World, hehehe. But really working it for my daughter so we've got the Mraz and Swift et al songbook under construction. Oh, i did stumble upon Amen Omen by Harper, I think that'll work on Uke!

    coming from guitar, i thought many of the D chord songs would kinda translate like Prudence ... but it doesn't go low enough to really pull off Release, I'll figure something out!

    Hey thanks for listening!!... looking forward to listening to yours. I totally understand the whole daughter element, my daughter's only 1.5... but, I wake up every morning with Barney and Sesame Street songs in my head so a change to Mraz or Swift would be a very nice improvement. I'm sure that's coming soon.

    P.S. I just plugged my mic into my PA and used the video's recording. But, I agree, the alternative would sound better.

    Just a quick bit of You're True warts and all. Just did a quick vid to show a friend the new uke. Didnt have time to do multiple takes and get it perfect with my little buddy in the mix.
