Here is a great video of Amy playing 'Rehab' acoustic in what appears to be a radio studio.

Jimi Hendrix, Curt Cobain, Janice Joplin, Jim Morrison all were 27 when they died.

But they were also certified legends before they died.

She does not deserve to be held in the same esteem or to be in that club!!!

She totally wasted her talent and life. I'm not a fan of hers anyway. It's a shame she died, but she spent the last few years destroying herself, so I'm not surprised she's gone. But she doesn't deserve to be compared to Jimi Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Kurt Cobain or Jim Morrison. She's not even close to being in their league of fame or talent.

Don't forget Brian Jones...one of the founders of The Rolling Stones...and a pretty good musical talent.

Not sure anyone really 'deserves' to be in a club representational of people whose lives end so prematurely. I don't know her music, but I do think she had a hell of a voice. I also think it's immensely sad to hear a song like Rehab now knowing that her life is over at 27. Talk about a prophetic anthem...

she had one hit 5 years ago. Also it was a "controversial" song so most of its fame came from that. The fact that she didn't have any more hits further points to the rehab track being a gimmick.

You don't know Back To Black, Valerie or You Know I'm No Good? They were all pretty huge songs.

I gotta say that Back to Black from start to finish is one of my favorite albums of all time. She was incredibly talented. Her voice was heartbreakingly soulful. Maybe it's more of a chick thing, but wow she could have been amazing if she had just kept clean. It's very sad and unfortunate, I kept on hoping she'd make it through rehab and have a huge comeback.

Those who say she doesn't deserve to be mentioned along side these other artists are simply not in touch with her impact. She was huge and has been acknowledged by many other artists as well as being highly influential and a world-class talent. The fact that you don't listen to her doesn't change that. I don't listen to her either, fyi.

Also, wasn't Bradley Nowell of Sublime 27 when he died?

Absolutely. Even Adele, the biggest artist in the world right now, has acknowledged the fact that Amy paved the way for singers like her, not to mention countless others.

It makes me laugh when people say she doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as those other artsist, when in all reality the average music fan under the age of at least 30, probably couldn't name you more than one Janis Joplin song, if that, or a Doors song for that matter.

not really, I was referring to mass appeal but whatever who cares if they're in that club or not.

I tend to struggle naming the songs of the Doors from their entire catalogue of albums and dvd's that I own.

Umm let me see.....Break on through to the end of the night? Peace Blues?
