Quantum Physics for Dummies

I saw this book in the library the other year, and it cracked me right up:

http://www.amazon.com/Quantum-Physics-D ... 0470381884

They also have "String Theory for Dummies" and "Particle Physics for Dummies"

Nothing like a bunch of dummies trying to self figure out "Quantum Mechanics", eh?

Are you not familiar with these books?

Yes, I am familiar with the "Dummies" series, of course.

But the funny part is, (not so funny when you have to explain it)....QUANTUM PHYSICS for dummies.

Like as if "Dummies" are usually in search for the understanding of QUANTUM PHYSICS.

    Get it?

    My brain just melted.

    Pretty funny oxymoron too.

I'd be intrigued to read these ones.

Actually, I did pick up and start to read the "Quantum Physics for Dummies" book. One part said, "read these numbers..(and it listed a long series of numbers...and the book went on...) "DON'T think about why you are reading these number. Read this numbers and DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT ANYTHING or EVEN THINK ABOUT WHY YOU CAN'T THINK ABOUT THINKING OF THESE NUMBERS, JUST READ THESE NUMBERS AND THINK NOTHING ELSE".

    Very strange indeed....

I'm thinking, eight-year-old white girl, middle of the ghetto... bunch of monsters at night with quantum physics books. She about to start some shit, Zed. She's about eight. Those books are way too advanced for her.
If you ask me, she's up to something. Honestly, I'd appreciate it if you eased up off my back about it...

Or do I owe her an apology?

That was a good shot though, right?
