He's coming to my city. Windsor Canada. It's pretty sweet. The venue is only 5700. He had originally had DTE in Detroit booked but cancelled it. I personally think it's cause he wanted too much for tickets. Lawn was like 80, and then all the way up to like 320. Even this place was pricy. There were like 3 sections behind the stage for $93. The rest of venue was 150. The ended up selling back of venue for 93. My dad wanted to go so he paid and I got them. And he also paid for McCartney at comerica on Sunday. So thanks dad. Will be some good shows.
Just, not enough.
I need more.
Nothing seems to satisfy.
I said, I dont want it.
I just need it.
To breathe, to feel, to know Im alive.

I saw him with Billy Joel in '09. Personally I like Elton John better as a songwriter however Billy Joel was a better showman which was unfortunate b/c I had already seen Billy Joel solo in '06. It was an extremely expensive show too.

EV Solo:Providence 6/15/11 Boston 6/16/11 Hartford 6/18/11

Concert Wishlist: I am Mine, Marker in the Sand, Parachutes, In Hiding, All Those Yesterdays, I Got Shit, Long Road, Light Years
Going to both McCartney and John, I think 93 and 150 for who he is and the size of the venue is probably about right. I think it's fantastic that he's playing here...no border hassle's...no gas to the palace to spend...sweet.
Enjoy both shows...I am really stoked for McCartney...reviews from Yankee Stadium are amazing.
Enjoy... :P :P

this man is out of control. what a moving song. it is mostly because of this song that i started to appreaciate Elton a great deal more than i had.
"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
Chief Joseph - Nez Perce

But i think his 70's stuff is considered classic stuff and should be included in any greatest albums of all time list.
that would include 71's Madman Across the Water, 72's Honky Chateau, 73's Dont Shoot Me Im Only the Piano Player, and 73's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Of course, he's had great songs and albums since then, but those are what i would consider the essential

fade away...
I am at peace with my lust.....for Eddie.
I would add Elton John (1970) and Tumbleweed Connection (1970) to that list. Those 6 albums are a great stretch. GYBR is definitely the cutoff point for me.
Your Song - one of my favorites - can still bring tears to me....

It's a little bit funny this feeling inside
I'm not one of those who can easily hide
I don't have much money but boy if I did
I'd buy a big house where we both could live ...
If I was a sculptor, but then again, no
Or a man who makes potions in a travelling show
I know it's not much but it's the best I can do
My gift is my song and this one's for you ...
And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world
