Magic Fans?

I'm a huge fan of magic and I'm curious whether anyone else is into it?

I saw Copperfield twice in a span of two years. Same show both times but I was excited the second time to watch and try to figure out how his tricks are done. The second time seeing him, I caught one of the frisbee's he threw out for his big trick at the end of the show. I thought forsure I was going to have to sign a waiver saying that I would never release how the trick was performed but that never happened!

The trick involved him telling a story about his grandfather and his dream car etc. There's about twenty of us holding a rope on stage in a square, five on each side. Having seen the trick once before I said to the guy beside me, "you know he's going to make a car appear right in front of us right?". I looked everywhere, up, down, sides....everywhere! They held up a sheet for literally two seconds if that, and POOF, there's this car. I even reached out and knocked on the damn hood!!! NO IDEA HOW HE DID IT?!??

I've looked high and low trying to figure out how this trick is done and it led me to this new show by Penn and Teller called "Penn and Teller, Fool us!"

For any magic fan, it's definitely worth checking out! Here's the link!

PS: If someone finds a credible link to how the car appeared in front of my face, please PM me!

My daughter loves magic shows. Took her to see Carbanaro Live, was fun.
Looks like second season of penn and teller just started.
The worst of times..they don't phase me,
even if I look and act really crazy.

Ricky Jay is one of my favourites, an excellent mix of magic, comedy and magic history all in one, lol.

(Posting on my phone at the moment and still haven't learned how to post links, lol. I'll come back on the pc tomorrow to add a couple, but I highly recommend his balls and cups routine (up there with Penn & Teller's 7 steps of magic bit, lol).

My great-great-grandfather was a magician. There used to be a magic shop in town and my dad would take me there as a kid. Of course, he'd buy all the good tricks for himself and I'd get the simple ones.

Love Penn & Teller...also that cheesy Houdini film with Tony Curtis and the chick from Psycho.

When I was a kid, my dad's work involved him holding many functions at the Magic Castle. Such a cool place; hope to go back someday (and pray I can trade fact for magic at my age :) )
