Adoption - UK

I know its a long shot but my wife and I are just starting on the long road to adoption in the UK. Don't suppose anyone can speak from experience about the journey, final goal and/or the rest of our lives as a family? Any comments appreciated but particularly the UK as the road is extremely long, laborious and appears to be somewhat intrusive.

thanks

I don't know about adoption in the UK, sorry, but we did adopt in the U.S. Well, we live in the U.S., but adopted from India. It took a while (almost two years), but it's been a wonderful experience. Our daughter arrived when she was 8 months old and she's 14 now.

PM me if you have any questions. Good luck.

  • Not the UK, but if you choose to go to china, India or Africa, I know that the process is long and a bit socially awkward but not impossible.

Going to countries like India and china you're about ten times more likely to be allowed a girl. Your race can play into the factors, too...

But a lot of my friends have gone that route.
