Would you say that blogs in particular are the web-based zines i.e., fanzines?

I'm attempting to add working on a *zine* to my job description, but it may be the same as working on a blog with multiple contributors. What do you think?

I did an online "zine" a couple years ago. It was myself and about 7 other people that worked on it. We tried to make it a little different than just a regular blog site so we set it up to where a new "issue" was released every week. I made the site look like a magazine, and made a new cover for it each week. I really liked it but it never really took off and it was just too much work to maintain. This day and age updating a site once a week is just not enough to keep people coming back.

Good luck to you though, hopefully your's works out better than mine did.
