brought memories of JB's father fondly nicknamed Cap,
(Captain) a POW in World War II who passed in 96.
He too shared little of his time in the War nor when he was shot down and while held prisoner.
I have found how very important it is to learn the stories we can from our parents and grandparents
great grandparents too... if we are lucky enough.
They mean a lot as one ages and greater understanding is found of those you love and yourself.
Oh and I have some Greek heroes too
but I am missing one at the moment
