So did anyone go to a midnight showing? I went to one, it was pretty crazy. Seems like half the people were dressed up in Harry Potter gear. reminded me of when star wars made a comeback and everyone was dressed up then.

As for the movie, I thought it was pretty damn good. Thought it did the book justice and i was satisfied of how it went. Of course there were parts left out. Overall highly recommended :D

I can't wait to see it -Both my kids went to the midnight show, and got in line at 6pm! I will have to wait 2 weeks till this summer school course I'm going to is ended. My daughter dressed up as a very accurate Voldemort, and as she was parading downtown (we live in a small place) she got a lot of high 5's including from friends that couldn't recognize her.

The trailer looks good, the book was good and I wish I could go tomorrow.

Looking forward to it! But I'm waiting for the DVD to come out. I've intentionally not seen part I either because I want to see the movie version of the seventh book in it's entirety- same was as I read the book.

Then, when they they come out with a boxed set of the whole series on film, I'm gonna gather up a load of grub, keep the coffee pot brewing (and other beverages and whatever on hand, of course), and watch the whole thing, beginning to end and then sleep for a couple of days!

I was a crazy. Saw it Friday night. Loved it. The theatre was packed. After the scene in the forest(don't want to give away too much) some girl in the row ahead of us was balling. I mean serious sobs. Tears? ok, Sobbing?? WTF? I normally love to go the night or weekend a movie is released. You get most of the fans that really want to see it then. Not dolts who text or answer their phones or talk. It's the best theatre experience you're likely to get. We had a movie marathon a couple weeks back to get us all up to date and keep it fresh in our minds. Almost wish I could go back now and see it in 3d!

Saw it. It was really great. I read the books so I knew the ending. Could of had more fighting. Could of had more things to make it less PG13...

I feel out of the loop. I love SciFi and fantasy. I LOVE Lord of the Rings and so on.. but I've never seen a Harry Potter movie.

I watched 20 minutes of one once and had no interest. I couldn't follow. It seemed like a childrens story with nothing for me to relate to. My girlfriend is going to get me to try to watch them, but I have little hope.

Please tell me if I watch, there will be some element that I'll grasp on to. I really want to like these, but have no desire..

Once you get past the first 2 they get better and better. I'm 31 and I love them. My favorite is the 6th movie. Very dark. If you loved lord of the rings you will love HP.

Yeah, you have to fight through the first two. They are much more of a kid's movie than the others. After part 2 things take a dramatic turn for the darker, more grown up world. I am almost 40 and I really enjoyed them. I thought the books got too long-winded at times, but the movies have been excellent.

It is really amazing they were able to pull this off using almost all the same actors and keeping the overall tone together. We may never see a series of movies like this again.

Saw it last Tuesday. Took all our kids to a matinee! We loved it! We watched part one the night before so everything was fresh in our minds. I loved that it remained so true to the books. The entire series of movies did...I looked forward to seeing everyone, usually I skip the movie if I loved the book.

I went today. I thought the movie was great a great adaptation and really well done. Can't believe it is the last one. Makes me want to read the last book again.

I used to work at a children's toy and book store and one of my co-workers would follow me around telling me how I HAD to read them. I thought the same thing, why? They were children's books! Years later I borrowed my friend's son's copy and couldn't put it down. I then bought the rest and flew through them.

Get past the first movie and Maybe the second and you'll like the rest. The first one is very childlike but they're all pretty good. Give it a try past those first two and you'll get into it. Maybe you'll even want to read it??:lol:

I saw it this weekend in 3D, so it was cool on two levels since I've never seen a 3d movie in the theaters before! I thought it was great - they really did a good job of it. Definitely think it'll get some Oscar noms!

I'm on the third one and have no desire to finish it.. Sadly, these movies aren't doing anything for me. The first one was boring. The second one was ok, but I wouldn't watch it again. The third one.. meh. Don't feel like finishing it. I'll try, but I don't have any hope. :?

Now it's complete 1-8. But from what I'm hearing. They'll stop selling these at the end of the year. And put out another one next year with extra stuff.
