Mexico show

Hey there everybody, Has anybody who lives in the United States ever gone to see a PJ show in Mexico :problem: . We're debating on whether to go due to the times :-? . The media  , rumors  and I guess just personal knowledge is the major yield in traveling through this area. I'd like to think that "It's got to be safe if PJ is doing a venue there" but having two young one's :P :P that would be possibly "undecided" going their is a safety factor that is playing a role here. Can somebody please give us their opinion  :?: and maybe just shed some light on any experiences they might have had . Thank you so much. Your opinions are really appreciated.
I'll be back from work in a few hours to take a look.

With that said, a lot of the problems I know about have been taking place in northern Mexico. Mexico City is supposed to be relatively safe from drug cartel violence for tourists but it is still a very large city and I know there is a lot of crime. I'm sure people who live there could tell you more, but I've heard that it's a place where you want to dress down, don't show expensive belongings etc... I would probably still feel safer going to Mexico City than going back to Monterrey or other parts of northern mexico at this time.
If you do end up going, it would be worth it to check out some travel forums and read posts from Americans who live in or have recently visited Mexico City. I think this is where you will get more useful information about safety, areas around venue, where to go where not to go etc...
Just google Mexico City forums and you should find something. Good luck and if there's anything I can do to help just send me a PM.
Hi dude, I am Mexican and I live in Mexico City, I understand the problem about secutiry and the drugs and all that problems that affect us too much, but... Mexico City is safer than other cities, it's by far much better than Monterrey, Tijuana or any city near the border...
I live almost 40 minutes away (in public transport) from the venue Foro Sol. Just not be too pretencious in the street, and the citizens respect all foreign people, trust me. I have lived all my life here. If you want more info, send me a message.
cheers!!
won't let the darkness swallow me
What do you think about fans waiting in line for front row? I heard about people camping out for DAYS for U2 at Azteca Stadium. I don't know how long people waited for Metallica or Iron Maiden but it seems to be a good comparison.
