    agreed.

if he gets the nomination, he has already alienated much of the american population with his libertarian views. those are not in touch with the views of the majority of americans, and it takes a majority of americans to win the election.

as evidenced by obama, it is easy to talk about change and doing these radical things to improve the country, but without a friendly congress it is all just spoken words floating around in the air.

is congress really going to vote to audit the fed and possibly do away with it?

is congress really going to vote to bring all of our troops home?

will major american companies such as the auto industry be on the brink of failure and ron paul do nothing and juet let them fail and put all of those people out of work?

and most importantly, is the congress going to vote to RELINQUISH some of the power that the federal government has over all of us? that is highly unlikely because once someone or some body of government has power, history shows that it will never ever give any of it away...

The troops could be brought home tomorrow without Congressional approval and you know it.

    "could" being the operative word.

but congress would have to vote to fund such an operation, which it has been stated that the operation of acutally bringing them home is more expensive than maintaining what they have over there.. it is easy to invade and occupy, getting out is another story.

as long has you have people in congress believing in and telling their constituents that the soldiers are over there "defending our freedom" it won't happen. because most of the people in congress voted for the wars and for funding the wars, and now they would have to go back to their states and explain why it was a bad vote....and what if they vote to bring them home and another terrorist attack happens here? too much political damage could be done, and those people want to keep their jobs....do you see how difficult it is to defund things like the pentagon and the military industrial complex in this day and age??

forgive me for not believing paul would so something that makes total sense... i just do not believe him.

and as i have said numerous times, a man without the support of the fox news juggernaut will never ever win a republican nomination. that is as plain as the sky is blue.
